pondering: why he never come today????

today started off bright and chirpy. i specially woke up at 8.30am just to play 'grandia 2'. haha, i siao already la. spent 21hrs 13mins on it, & i still haven't finished playing it yet. grr.. anyway, the game's the reason why i haven't updated for such a long time, lol.

o well, here's a report of what i've been doing the whole week when the obs people were out there enjoying themselves. i was assigned, together with doreen, adeline, vignette, amanda, xiao yan, kamajit[is that how his name is spelled?], zi jian, & ding yi, to do some work attachment thing at china square central. i was with amanda and zi jian, haha, primary 1 reunion!! but later found out that the 'All4Kids' shop has closed down. the 'AbundantEarth' haven't closed down yet, but because the lady didn't have her other shop assistant with her, she only wanted 2 helpers.. hmm, so later 9 of us were given 3 new attachment choices--restaurant, florist, or female assessories. putting on a rather 'enthu' face, me and dory naturally got the job, after acting cute in front of mdm sakeena that is. adeline tagged along with us too, but she didn't act cute. the guy had to bargain with the manager to let her in. o well, the guys got the female assessory thing, haHa!

the 1st day was just training and briefing. so we knocked off at around 3pm, but had to wait till the others have finished their jobs. so me and dory, and adeline[who we did not invite], went to a christian bookshop nearby. i picked a book titled 'diary of a teenage girl--becoming me'. then it was like around 5pm or so when we had to leave, & i was still at page 203!!! darn.. dory finished reading 1bk & 3/4 of another.. guess i didn't bother to read so damn fast.

on the 2nd day[wednesday], we arrived there at 8.45am. so damn early lor.. 'cause the darn mrt station was so packed, i got lost in it. & later i came out of the wrong exit and got lost, again. had to refer to a map my mom gave me, hehe. my mom expected me to get lost.. haha, so i finally reached the place, with a little help from adeline who i met on the way.. haha, had no luck reading the damn map.. so anyway, when i reached there, we had to iron our uniforms, omg. iron, as in, i-r-o-n. so blah blah, put on our uniforms, & we're all ready for work!! i had to wipe the counters, blah blah, while dory & adeline had to wipe the tables.. so later i was assigned to the spanish side[front part of the restaurant], together with chris, li jia, and joan. quite fun, had to walk up and down the aisle, interupting people's conversations with just a simple phrase: "may i clear your plate?" lol, so fun. then also must clear their trays & wipe the table after they leave. for the first hour it was pretty fun, but it got a lot more tiring later 'cause the lunch crowd was pouring in. WE COULDN'T EVEN SIT DOWN!!! pathetic, simply pathetic. had very sore toes when i came home. li jia was pretty amusing though, so that was a little consolation. he was like cracking all kinds of lame jokes throughout the whole day, haHa. my assigned buddy, joan, didn't really talk much. i guess only li jia did the talking, other than chris who kept telling me to go and clear the plates even though i made my reluctant face very obvious, blegh.. & i ming ming heard that we were given 30 bucks everyday for lunch. well thanks to dory & adeline, we only drank soup for lunch because they claimed to have heard that we were only given 30 bucks for 3 days.. wth. the rest of the day was ok, except that my toes were seriously sore and i didn't get to read finish my book.. hmmph.. oh, btw.. did i mention this very cute ang moh guy? yeah, he was seated at a table with his parents [he looks like a 16 yr old teenager and not a mama's boy], lol.. so that's some reward after standing for god-knows-how-long.

the 3rd day [thursday], we came at 10.30am, not knowing that we were supposed to be ready at 10.30 instead of arriving at 10.30.. haHa. this time i was assigned to the french and bistro section [the back & side of the restaurant], together with chris and kenneth. but kenneth was really around all the time, so it could be counted as me and chris only, lol. so there was this big group of very noisy and giggly people seated at my station, so irritating lor. then i had to keep checking to see whether they eat finish or not. haix.. some more they eat so damn slow, so i was just slacking there. my toes were toughened up a little, meaning they didn't really ache untill 2hrs later.. hehe. so the lunch crowd poured in as usual, and it got busier 'cause i had 2 places to look after, grr.. now i really regretted not bringing my specs along. i couldn't see whether the people had finished their food or not due to the bad lighting as well as my bad vision. had to rely on chris to tell me which plate is empty. have i mentioned that he was quite good-looking too? haHa! oh well, so i kind of developed a little crush on him, to heck with that! yepx, the day was fine, and i had worked with him for 2 consequetive[how do you spell that?] days!! the bad thing was that my toes were sore and i still have not managed to read finish my book! damn..

the 4th day [friday], aka last day, we came at 10am and got ready at 10.30. was assigned to the dishwashing place, together with helen, and not him anymore!!! boo hoo! but since helen only arrives at 12.30pm, i was allowed to come out and help out at the french and bistro section, with chris!! oh, and with adeline too.. felt a little moody though, 'cause it was the last day working there and i was certain i would sort of miss him a little bit.. hmm.. so i told dory i would regret not treasuring my time in the restaurant, but didn't tell her what i didn't REALLY treasure... haix.. chris was at the entrance when we left, so sad!! so that was how the day ended, haix..

SO I CAME BACK TODAY!!! wore my newly bought earrings, and my blue topaz necklace, and a halter top. mission: to return the uniform together with doreen. nilawan tagged along too since she was bored at home. so we came, BUT didn't see him. so in the end, we asked the 'joker' [dishwasher person] where did 'li jia they all' go.. 'cause chris always hanged out with li jia. found out that monday was seldom busy, so they were on leave. DISAPPOINTMENT!!! *wails*.. had no mood to eat my crepe but forced it down my throat, or rather oesophagus, anyway. oh well, must sleep now..

p.s. GRANDIA 2 ROCKS!!! and idiot jeremy still hasn't told me what would happen to millenia, ryudo, and elena.. damn
